Al Rayyan and Al Arabi to Compete in Prestigious Al Ain Junior Volleyball Tournament

Al ain: Qatar's Al Rayyan and Al Arabi are set to compete in the Al Ain International Junior Volleyball Tournament, beginning tomorrow and concluding on September 4. This event, hosted in the UAE city of Al Ain, will feature six teams from the local and Gulf regions.

According to Qatar News Agency, the tournament will take place at the Khalifa bin Zayed Sports Hall. It is organized by Al Ain Club under the patronage of the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi, with support from the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and in cooperation with the UAE Volleyball Association.

The participating teams include UAE's Al Ain, Kuwait's Al Qadsia and Burgan, Qatar's Al Rayyan and Al Arabi, and Bahrain's Al Nasr. The competition kicks off with three matches: Al Ain vs. Al Arabi, Bahrain's Al Nasr vs. Al Rayyan, and an all-Kuwaiti match between Al Qadsia and Burgan.

The organizing committee, during its latest meeting, confirmed that all necessary preparations have been completed. This includes the arrangements for competition venues, teams, referees, and spectators, as well as reception procedures for delegations, accreditation, media coverage, and the awards ceremony.

Hosting the tournament in Al Ain is anticipated to reinforce the city's reputation as a venue for sporting events and enhance its presence on the competition calendar. This supports ongoing efforts to boost sports tourism and attract athletes and visitors both locally and internationally.

Additionally, the committee announced cash prizes for the top three teams, along with draws and prizes for spectators, aiming to increase engagement and provide a holistic sporting and entertainment experience.
