Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani participated in the G20 Summit 2025 in Johannesburg, South Africa, under the theme “Solidarity, Equality, Sustainability.” During the summit, HH the Amir expressed hope that its outcomes would address key economic priorities and global challenges, promoting solidarity, equality, and sustainability among nations. Following his participation, HH the Amir departed South Africa.
According to Qatar News Agency, HH the Amir also engaged in diplomatic correspondence, sending a cable of condolences to HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain on the passing of HH Sheikh Ibrahim bin Hamad bin Abdulla Al Khalifa. Additionally, HH the Amir extended congratulations to HE President Joseph Aoun of Lebanon on the occasion of the country’s Independence Day.
HH Sheikha Moza bint Nasser attended the seventh annual Fashion Trust Arabia Prize Awards Ceremony at the National Museum of Qatar. Meanwhile, HH the Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Thani and HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani also sent condolences and congratulations to Bahrain and Lebanon respectively.
The State of Qatar hosted the first Arab Cyber Exercise, part of the National Cyber Drill’s 12th edition, emphasizing Qatar’s commitment to regional cybersecurity.
