Cupertino:Apple has rolled out iOS 27.0.1, its initial update to iOS 27, to resolve various bugs affecting iPhone users. This includes a problem causing the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max to restart unexpectedly after a failed Face ID attempt.
According to Qatar News Agency, the update, released approximately two weeks after iOS 27, also corrects a camera issue. This defect could produce a color artifact in photos taken at 2x zoom under specific lighting conditions at f/1.48 on a limited number of iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max devices.
Another issue addressed by Apple in this update involves the touchscreen becoming unresponsive if the Notification Center and Control Center were opened simultaneously.
The iOS 27.0.1 update is available for all iPhone models that support iOS 27. However, the Face ID and camera fixes specifically target the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. Apple's release information indicates that the update is applicable to iPhone 11 and later models.
In addition to iOS 27.0.1, Apple released iPadOS 27.0.1 for compatible iPad models. This update also focuses on bug fixes and system improvements, with both updates officially released on September 28.
