Arab Administrative Development Organization to Host Forum on Digital Age Transparency and Anti-Corruption


Cairo: The Egyptian capital will host next Wednesday the Third Arab Forum on Enhancing Transparency and Combating Corruption in the Digital Age, under the theme “The Role of Digital Transformation in Enhancing Transparency and Integrity in Public Policies.” The forum, organized by the Arab Administrative Development Organization (ARADO) of the Arab League, will run for two days in cooperation with the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) and Transparency International (Global Coalition Against Corruption).



According to Qatar News Agency, the forum aims to explore ways to leverage digital transformation as a strategic tool to enhance integrity in public policies, through showcasing innovative technological solutions, discussing successful regional and international experiences, and exchanging best practices in transparency and governance. The forum will bring together decision-makers, civil society representatives, private sector, and international organizations.



The forum will also highlight the role of digital technologies in preventing and reducing corruption, presenting successful initiatives that employ modern technologies in anti-corruption efforts, fostering dialogue on frameworks linking digital transformation to corruption prevention, and supporting partnerships among governments, civil society, and private sector.



Key topics on the agenda include the future of anti-corruption in the context of digital transformation, blockchain technology and transparent governance, artificial intelligence and data analysis for detecting corruption, open budgets and public accountability, open contracting and procurement monitoring, ethical and security challenges in digital innovation, data protection and the right to access information, digital identity, and illicit financial flows.



The forum will be attended by ministers, advisors, experts, and specialists in the fields of transparency, law, anti-corruption, and digital transformation from across the Arab world.
