Arab Judicial Conference Recommends Comprehensive Strategy on AI Uses in Courts

Cairo: The Arab League wrapped up Thursday in Cairo the first Arab judicial conference on the challenges facing the judiciary due to AI. At the conclusion of the event held by the Arab League's Arab Administrative Development Organization (ARADO), the conferees recommended the development of a comprehensive Arab strategy for the use of artificial intelligence in the judiciary. This strategy aims to unify the vision and enhance cooperation among Arab countries, ensuring the effective and safe use of AI technologies in justice systems.

According to Qatar News Agency, the participants also urged the issuance of comprehensive laws on artificial intelligence in every Arab country. These laws are intended to provide the necessary legal and institutional frameworks to govern AI usage and mitigate potential risks. Additionally, the conferees emphasized the importance of ensuring the quality of data used and maintaining compliance with legal values and principles established in the judicial system.
