Cairo, The League of Arab States today held the fourth meeting on the mechanism of political consultations between itself and the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The delegation of the League of Arab States General Secretariat was headed by Arab League Assistant Secretary-General and Head of International Political Affairs Dr. Khaled Manzalawi.
The Brazilian delegation was headed by Foreign Affairs Deputy Minister and Secretary for Africa and the Middle East, Ambassador Carlos Sergia Sobral Duarte.
Arab League Assistant Secretary-General Ambassador Hossam Zaki, who participated in the meeting, delivered a speech about the latest developments in the Palestinian cause in light of the continued war crimes committed by the Israeli occupation authorities against the Palestinian people in Gaza and all the occupied territories, both in the West Bank and occupied East Jerusalem. He noted Brazil’s positions in support of the Palestinian cause.
During the meeting, views were exchanged on several issues of com
mon interest.
