Doha: The Arab League condemned in the strongest terms the Israeli occupation airstrikes on Syria, including those targeting the General Staff Headquarters in Damascus and the vicinity of the presidential palace.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Arab League considered these airstrikes a blatant attack on the sovereignty of an Arab state that is a member of the Arab League and the United Nations, a violation of international law, and a disregard for the rules of the international system. The Arab League emphasized that the Israeli attacks constitute bullying that neither the regional nor the international community can accept or tolerate, and that they must be stopped immediately.
The Arab League added that the occupation's airstrikes aim to sow chaos in Syria, exploiting recent incidents in Suwayda, which the Syrian authorities themselves condemned in a statement, describing them as shameful acts, vowing to investigate and punish anyone proven to have committed any violations or infractions.
The Arab League expressed its full solidarity with Syria in the face of these Israeli attacks, calling on the government to act quickly to defuse the conflict, address existing tensions through dialogue, and work to include all components of the Syrian people within the national framework.
