The Speaker of the Arab Parliament Adel Al-Asoomi has welcomed the start of the United Nations operation to unload the Safer Oil Tanker. This is a crucial step to avert a potential environmental disaster in the water of the Red Sea.
In a statement today, Al-Asoomi praised the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for donating $10 million last year to contribute to this operation and appealed to the international community to provide all necessary support to complete this operation smoothly.
