Doha: Assistant Undersecretary for Social Development Affairs at the Ministry of Social Development and Family Fahd Mohammed Al Khayarin met on Wednesday with Assistant Secretary-General for Humanitarian, Cultural and Social Affairs of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and Special Envoy to Afghanistan Tariq Ali Bakheet. The meeting focused on strengthening joint cooperation between the State of Qatar and the OIC in humanitarian, social, and cultural sectors, aiming to enhance their bilateral partnership in pursuit of sustainable development goals.
According to Qatar News Agency, the discussions underscored the significance of continued coordination and expertise exchange in developing joint programs and initiatives. Both parties emphasized intensifying cooperation in social development to foster stability and societal well-being across the region and the Islamic world. The Assistant Secretary-General expressed his appreciation for Qatar's efforts and the Ministry of Social Development and Family's role in supporting humanitarian, social, and developmental issues, lauding the pioneering experiences and initiatives undertaken by Qatar in these fields.
