It was mission accomplished for ENEMY (GB) (Muhaar x Prudenzia) as the representative of Qatar Racing, Ecurie des Monceaux and Skymarc Farm, recorded his first French victory in his third attempt on French soil on Friday, 2 April. The four-year-old gelding got back to winning ways after proving successful on his two-year-old debut at Ascot for British trainer John Gosden. After joining the stable of French trainer Francis-Henri Graffard in September, ENEMY finished fifth on his French debut and was then beaten a short head into second.
On this particular Friday card, and with Pierre-Charles Boudot in the plate, Enemy scooted home in the Prix du Champ d’Alouette, a Class 3 mile for four-year-olds at Chantilly. He powered home by three and a half lengths in front of Gemcutter (Medaglia d’Oro x Profit).
Enemy’s dam is none other than the excellent Prudenzia (Dansili), a mare already responsible for the high class distaffers, MAGIC WAND (Galileo) and CHICQUITA (Montjeu).
