KSrelief Distributes 720 Shelter Bags in Sudan


White Nile State, Sudan, The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) distributed on Thursday 720 shelter bags to the neediest and most displaced families in Kosti locality in White Nile State in the Republic of Sudan, benefiting 4,140 individuals. This distribution is part of a project to provide urgent shelter assistance to the Republic of Sudan 2024.

This comes within the framework of relief and humanitarian projects implemented by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the KSrelief, to help the brotherly Sudanese people due to the humanitarian crisis they are going through.

AL asserts importance of historic role of museums in cultural educational upgrade

Cairo: The Arab League’s (AL) General Secretariat asserted the importance of the historic role of the museums in cultural educational development.

In a statement on Saturday on International Museum Day, the general secretariat said that the AL has paid attention, since its establishment, to protecting the Arab cultural heritage, Middle News Agency (MENA) reported.

The museums reflect the civilization and history of former generations to the next generations, said Abu Ghazaleh Haifa, the Arab League Assistant Secretary-General.

Supported by KSrelief, Prosthetics Center in Yemen’s Taiz Provides Medical Services to 329 Beneficiaries in April


Taiz, Supported by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), the project for operating the Prosthetics and Rehabilitation Center in the Yemeni Taiz Governorate provided its diverse medical services to 329 beneficiaries who lost their limbs among the Yemeni people during April 2024.

During the month, 821 services were provided, with males accounting for 69% and females for 31%. Displaced individuals constituted 14% while residents made up 86% of the total beneficiaries.

The services they received included prosthetic delivery, limb measurements, and maintenance, along with physical therapy services and specialized consultations.

This comes within the framework of relief and humanitarian efforts provided by the Kingdom through its humanitarian arm, the KSrelief, to enhance the capabilities of the health sector and alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people.

10 missiles were launched from the northern Gaza Strip towards Ashkelon

Gaza: On Saturday, the city of Ashkelon was hit by a missile attack fired from the northern Gaza Strip, while sirens sounded in the city.

The Israeli army said that the defenses were able to intercept five missiles, while the rest fell in an open area.

The launching of rockets towards Ashkelon comes as the Israeli occupation army commits new massacres in the northern Gaza Strip, resulting in the death and injury of dozens of citizens

Makkah, In preparation for the upcoming Hajj season, the Presidency for Religious Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques is implementing a comprehensive program to enhance the spiritual journey of millions of pilgrims. It prioritizes both deepening their faith and providing them with a wealth of knowledge.

The program offers a wider range of informative, spiritual, and counseling sessions. These enriched guidance programs will be led by scholars and teachers specifically trained to raise awareness about Sharia teachings. This focus on disseminating knowledge ensures that pilgrims return home with a deeper understanding of their faith and the significance of their Hajj experience.

The presidency recognizes the power of technology in reaching a global audience, and as such, plans to leverage artificial intelligence, and smart applications, and use various languages to deliver the moderate message of the two holy mosques.

rophet’s Mosque, emphasized the program’s core objectives, and highlighted the importance of strengthening faith through lessons and lectures aimed at fostering a more meaningful spiritual experience for pilgrims.

He also stressed the crucial role of eminent scholars and teachers in spreading accurate Islamic knowledge and enriching the legacy of the two holy mosques. He said that integrating technology not only enhances accessibility but also broadens the reach of the mosques message of tolerance, moderation, and peaceful coexistence.

Palestine and JICA discuss prospects for joint cooperation in the tourism field

The Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Hani Al-Hayek, received the Director General of JICA in the Middle East, Toyami Kei, accompanied by Mitsutaka Hoshi, the Special Representative of the JICA Foundation in Palestine, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities in the city of Bethlehem, in the presence of Majed Ishaq, Director General of Tourism Marketing in the Ministry.

At the beginning, Minister Hayek welcomed Toyami and his accompanying delegation, stressing the importance of partnership and cooperation between Palestine and the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA), as this relationship was translated through the joint implementation of many projects related to tourism and the preservation of cultural heritage in Palestine, the most important of which was building coverage of The largest in the region for one of the largest preserved and continuous mosaic panels in the ancient Hisham Palace in the city of Jericho.

Al-Hayek spoke about the crisis that the tourism sector
in Palestine is going through as a result of the aggression against the Gaza Strip. This aggression targeted everything Palestinian, including people, trees and stones. He stressed that many historical and archaeological buildings in the Gaza Strip were partially or completely targeted, which is a targeting of the Palestinian national identity. These buildings constitute an important part of the history of Palestine linked to this land and that we, as Palestinians, are the owners of this land, no matter how long the occupation lasts.

Al-Hayek talked about the promotional tourism plan that Palestine will adopt immediately after the end of the aggression to ensure the return of tourism activity to Palestine to its previous state, as it will include focusing on new tourist markets that had not previously visited Palestine, in addition to targeting new tourist categories and groups.

In turn, Toyami spoke about the importance of the partnership between JICA and Palestine, especially with the Ministry of Tourism
and Antiquities, stressing the need to develop joint work horizons to include new areas that contribute to the development of programs and marketing plans for Palestine and contribute to the development of historical sites and transforming them into tourist sites that can be visited by tourist groups coming to visit Palestine.

The two parties discussed ways to develop cooperation in the field of global tourism promotion and exchange experiences and information in this field, in addition to ways to develop work in the field of attracting internal tourism from our Palestinian people, in addition to discussing new projects in the field of preserving antiquities in Palestine and transforming archaeological sites into visitable tourist sites

Prime Minister of Greece Receives MWL Secretary General


Athens, The Prime Minister of Greece, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, has received Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the Muslim World League (MWL) and Chairman of the Association of Muslim Scholars, at the Prime Ministry headquarters in Athens. They discussed a number of topics of mutual interest.

During the meeting, Al-Issa highlighted the Islamic values of peace, coexistence, and tolerance, expressing gratitude for the prime minister’s hospitality and his positive views on Islam’s contributions to human civilization.

Al-Issa also met with muftis, preachers, and other Islamic figures in Greece, who acknowledged the international role of the MWL in realizing the aspirations of the Muslim nation. Additionally, he visited the Athens Mosque.

The secretary-general also met with Archbishop Ieronymos II of Athens and All Greece. Both leaders emphasized the pivotal role of religious leaders in addressing all forms of religious and ethnic conflict around the world.

Makkah Route Initiative Provides Services at Istanbul Airport with Advanced Technologies for 2nd Year


Istanbul: The Makkah Route Initiative continues to provide services for pilgrims from Istanbul International Airport for the second consecutive year. This initiative, part of Saudi Vision 2030, utilizes advanced, high-quality technologies to offer an ideal experience for pilgrims through qualified Saudi personnel from eight government agencies.

The initiative provides the latest procedural technologies that ensure ease and convenience for pilgrims. These include issuing electronic visas, registering biometric data, completing passport procedures at the departure airport after verifying health requirements, and tagging and sorting luggage according to transport and accommodation arrangements in the Kingdom. Upon arrival, pilgrims are directly transported to their accommodations in Makkah and Madinah, while service agencies deliver their luggage to their residences.

Additionally, the Makkah Route Initiative has introduced a mobile counter, which automatically facilitates the procedures for the elderly and peo
ple with disabilities safely and reliably. It includes a fingerprint sensor, passport reader, front and rear cameras, and a network for communicating and transferring beneficiary data to the Ministry of Interior systems for verification, ensuring the authenticity of travel documents and visas.

Future Aviation Forum 2024 Highlights Role of Aviation Sector in Supporting Saudi Arabia’s Economic Growth


Riyadh: The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) has confirmed that the aviation sector plays a vital role in supporting economic growth in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It achieves the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, according to the statistics included in the first edition of the report on the state of the aviation sector in the Kingdom. The report will be launched during the Future Aviation Forum 2024, which is held under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and organized by the General Authority of Civil Aviation from May 20 to 22, 2024. The forum will be under the theme “Enhancing the Level of Global Connectivity.”

The report reveals that the civil aviation sector contributed $53 billion to the Kingdom’s economy, including $20.8 billion through aviation activities and $32.2 billion in the tourism sector, providing 241,000 jobs in the civil aviation sector and about 717,000 other jobs in the tourism sector.

The report addresses the significa
nt transformations taking place in the aviation sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Kingdom exceeded the global average growth during 2023, achieving a growth in international seat capacity of 123% compared to what it was before the COVID-19 pandemic, while the average global and regional recovery rates are 90% and 95%, respectively. The annual growth rate in passenger numbers reached 26%, with a total of about 112 million passengers last year.

Saudi Minister of Transport and Logistics Services and Chairman of the Board of Directors of GACA Eng. Saleh Al-Jasser said that the Saudi aviation sector is witnessing major leaps according to international indicators and a constant transformation in support of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. It is also in line with the National Transport and Logistics Strategy (NTLS) and provides unprecedented opportunities in the air transport sector. Al-Jasser noted the great support the transport and logistics system receives from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Sal
man bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The Future Aviation Forum 2024 brings together five thousand aviation experts and leaders from 100 countries, including global airline CEOs, global manufacturers, airport operator executives, industry leaders, and regulators, to reshape the future of international air transport.
