Bahrain hosts GASERC 36 board of trustees meeting

Bahrain hosted the Gulf Arab States Educational Research Centre (GASERC) 36th board of trustees meeting, chaired by Dr. Mohammed Al Sharika, Director of the GASERC.

Dr. Intisar Al Banna, a representative of the Ministry of Education in Bahrain participated in the meeting.

Dr. Al Sharika expressed his gratitude for the Kingdom’s hospitality and welcomed all board members, thanking them for their continuous support.

He thanked the member states for their cooperation with the centre and their participation in its various activities and events.

The agenda of the meeting included a follow-up on the implementation of the recommendations of the 35th session of the board and a review of a report on the progress of work in implementing the centre’s programs for the financial cycle for 2023 and 2024.

An international educational conference was held, in which officials and educational specialists in the member states of the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States participated, along with educational experts worldwide. Meetings, seminars and training workshops were also held.

The board reviewed a report on the latest publications issued by the centre between the 35th and 36th sessions of the board.

The board members presented their proposals regarding enriching the Center's programs, developing its implementation mechanism, and maximizing benefits from its outputs and member states experiences and competencies in the field of educational research and work.

At the end of the meeting, the board members stressed the importance of the programs implemented by GASERC in supporting efforts to develop education in the member states.

They expressed their appreciation for the efforts made by the centre in implementing these programs, and for the role it plays in serving the educational development process in the member states of the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States, and the promotion of joint educational work among them.
