Bahrain Radio, Television to mark Saudi National Day

Radio Bahrain and Bahrain Television have prepared a variety of pogrammes and talk shows marking Saudi Arabia’s 93rd National Day.

They are within a comprehensive plan, including specialised programmes, and joint broadcasting with the Saudi TV and GCC radio stations, prepared to mark the occasion and express the pride of the kingdom, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and all its citizens in sharing with Saudi Arabia its celebrations of its glorious National Day, in recognition of the deep-rooted bilateral relations, and Saudi Arabia’s pivotal regional role.

In this regard, Radio Bahrain Director, Yunes Salman, said that the station has harnessed all its potential to celebrate Saudi Arabia’s National Day, noting that Radio Bahrain, Radio Riyadh and other GCC countries’ radio stations will broadcast a joint programme.

He added that 14 short spots and six special reports had recorded. They focus on the historical Bahraini-Saudi relations and joint cooperation, in addition to the pioneering role of Saudi women, the growth of the tourism and entertainment sector, NEOM, and the strides of Saudi sports sector.

Bahrain Television Director, Qais Hassan Al-Dossari, said that Bahrain TV has adopted a fixed slogan on the occasion, including the flags of the two kingdoms, under the theme “Together Forever”.

Bahrain TV’s celebrations of the Saudi National Day include mainly three two-hour live broadcasting periods, he said, noting that the coverage includes news reports, interviews and talk shows presented by anchors wearing shawls decorated with the Saudi flag.

A media delegation will also be dispatched to Riyadh to prepare reports and conduct interviews with Saudi guests.

Al-Dossari asserted that Bahrain TV will broadcast varied news reports, programmes and patriotic songs throughout the day, as the kingdom marks the Saudi National Day as a national occasion, based on the depth of the long-standing relations between the two brotherly peoples.
