Doha: Bayt Qatar (Qatar House) has opened in Nagoya ahead of the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games, offering visitors an interactive showcase of Qatar's culture, heritage and sporting achievements. Located at the TIAD Nagoya hotel, the initiative will run throughout the Games until October 4. It features Qatari traditional crafts, Arabic calligraphy and hospitality, alongside interactive digital experiences highlighting Qatar's sporting and tourism landmarks.
According to Qatar News Agency, the venue also traces Qatar's sporting journey from the 2006 Asian Games in Doha and highlights its preparations to host major events, including the 2027 FIBA Basketball World Cup and the Doha 2030 Asian Games. Qatar Olympic Committee Secretary-General Jassim Al Buenain said Qatar House provides an opportunity to promote the country's cultural and sporting heritage while strengthening connections with people across Asia.
He said the initiative reflects Qatar's experience in hosting major international sporting events and its preparations to welcome Asian athletes to Doha again in 2030. Al Buenain pointed out that Qatar's continued hosting of major sporting events reflects confidence in its organizational capabilities.
