Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), received the body of fallen serviceman First-Lieutenant Hamad Khalifa Al Kubaisi.
Lieutenant-General Abdullah bin Hassan Al Nuaimi, Defence Affairs Minister, and Lieutenant-General Theyab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, Chief of Staff of the BDF, senior BDF officers and family members of the fallen serviceman were present.
The body arrived on board a Royal Bahraini Air Force military aircraft the Isa Air Base, where a military ceremony was conducted.
These valiant, heroic fallen servicemen, through their noble sacrifices, have attained the highest ranks of honour, and they will always be remembered in the history of Bahrain, the Commander-in-Chief said.
We appreciate the servicemen of the BDF for joining their fellow servicemen in the Arab Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen, as part of Operation Decisive Storm and Restoring Hope, he added.
The Commander-in-Chief, Lieutenant-General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor and Royal Guard Commander, and Colonel His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Royal Guard Special Force Commander, then attended the funeral of the late serviceman.
The BDF chief extended the condolences of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister, to the family of the fallen serviceman.
The commander-in-chief prayed to Allah the Almighty to rest the soul of the fallen serviceman First-Lieutenant Hamad Al Kubaisi in eternal peace and to bless his relatives with patience and fortitude, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
