Beijing: China has warned against continued Philippine violations in the South China Sea, stressing its indisputable sovereignty over Nansha Qundao, including Tiexian Jiao, and adjacent waters.
According to Qatar News Agency, spokesperson for China Coast Guard (CCG) Liu Dejun stated that six Filipinos illegally landed on Tiexian Jiao in the South China Sea, disregarding warnings and dissuasion from the Chinese side.
He emphasized that the Philippines' actions violate China's territorial sovereignty and the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the South China Sea, and undermine peace and stability in the region.
Liu urged the Philippines to cease its infringements immediately, adding that the CCG will continue to protect China's rights and carry out law enforcement activities within China's jurisdictional waters.
China consistently claims almost complete sovereignty over the South China Sea, but other coastal states, including the Philippines, demand freedom of navigation there.
