Doha: The number of casualties resulting from the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since Oct. 7, 2023, has risen to 54,510 martyrs and 124,901 injured. Hospitals across the Gaza Strip have received 40 fatalities over the past 24 hours, including one individual whose body was recovered from beneath the rubble, along with 208 wounded.
According to Qatar News Agency, several victims remain trapped under bombed-out buildings and scattered in the streets, beyond the reach of emergency and civil defense rescuers due to the unabated hostilities, Gaza's Ministry of Health reported in a statement. The statement added that since the resumption of war on the enclave on March 18, 4,240 Palestinians have been martyred and 12,860 others wounded.
Meanwhile, the Gaza enclave is reeling from a cataclysmic humanitarian crisis due to the blockade of life-saving humanitarian aid, medical equipment, and medicines needed for hospitals, with over two million people languishing in camps and shelters under dire and increasingly unlivable conditions.
