Results of the “Fatah Central Committee” meeting

Ramallah – Ma’an – President Mahmoud Abbas chaired a meeting of the Central Committee of the Fatah Movement on Sunday evening at the presidential headquarters in the city of Ramallah.

At the beginning of the meeting, His Excellency the President and the members of the Central Committee recited Al-Fatiha for the souls of the martyrs of the Palestinian people who were killed as a result of the ongoing Israeli aggression in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and for the soul of the great national leader Farouk Qaddoumi “Abu Al-Lutf”, and the American-Turkish solidarity activist Aisha-Nour Eji who was killed by the Israeli occupation forces in the village of Beita, south of Nablus, and for the soul of the child Bana Amjad Bakr (13 years old) who was martyred by the bullets of the occupation forces in the village of Qaryut, south of Nablus.

The President briefed the members of the Central Committee on the results of his recent tour, which included Russia, Turkey and the Kingdom of Saudi
Arabia, with the aim of mobilizing Arab, regional and international efforts to stop the ongoing Israeli aggression against our Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, which has led to the martyrdom and injury of more than 150,000 citizens in the Gaza Strip.

The President reiterated that efforts are continuing to implement the Palestinian leadership’s direction, headed by His Excellency the President, to the Gaza Strip to stop the aggression against our people, and for the State of Palestine to assume its full duties in the Gaza Strip, considering it an integral part of the responsibilities of the State of Palestine over the entire Palestinian territory in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including East Jerusalem.

The President pointed out the importance of mobilizing Arab, international and United Nations support to implement the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice, as it is part of the decisions of international law that oblige the occupation to
implement, calling on the United States of America to pressure the occupation authorities to comply with the decisions of international legitimacy and international law, foremost of which is to stop the aggression against our people and our land.

The President touched on his important visit to Moscow and his meeting with President Vladimir Putin, where they discussed ways to develop bilateral relations and reviewed the latest developments in Palestine and the region, and worked to stop the Israeli aggression against our people, land and holy sites.

The President referred to his visit to Turkey, his meeting with President Erdogan, and his delivery of an important speech in the Turkish Parliament in which he stressed the official Palestinian position calling for an end to the war of extermination, the entry of aid, and enabling the State of Palestine to assume its full duties in the occupied Palestinian territories. His Excellency directed his invitation to the leaders and countries of the world, the United N
ations, and the free people of the world to help the Palestinian leadership move to the Gaza Strip to stand by our people in the face of aggression, occupation, and extermination, and for the State of Palestine to assume its duties there, and for the complete Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip.

The President then touched on his important visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and his meeting with the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, His Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who touched on the joint efforts made by the Palestinian and Saudi sides to stop the aggression against our Palestinian people, where His Excellency valued the positions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its role in obtaining more recognition for the State of Palestine, praising the role of the Arab-Islamic Ministerial Committee led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at the international level to mobilize support for the Palestinian cause and obtain full membership in the United Nations.

In turn, the Fatah Central Committee renewed its fu
ll support for the steps announced by President Mahmoud Abbas to head to the Gaza Strip to stand by our people who are being subjected to an unprecedented war of extermination by the Israeli occupation forces.

The Fatah Central Committee praised the political positions of Mr. President on the necessity of stopping the ongoing Israeli aggression against our people, and supporting the President’s policies in international forums, especially at the level of the United Nations General Assembly in its upcoming session.

The Fatah Central Committee called on all leaders, countries and free people of the world to support the president and the Palestinian leadership’s move towards the Gaza Strip, considering it the best option to stop the Israeli madness that has shed Palestinian blood and killed children, women and the elderly with blind American support biased towards the occupation and its policies that are dragging the region towards a comprehensive explosion, and for the State of Palestine to assume its full du
ties in the Gaza Strip, and for Israel to withdraw completely from it.

The Central Committee called on the international community to intervene immediately to force the occupying state to stop its escalating crimes against our people in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and its invasion of Palestinian cities, villages and camps, and its implementation of the daily killing policy against our people, and the policy of collective punishment and destruction of cities and infrastructure, as happened in the city of Jenin and its camp, the city of Tulkarm and its camps, the city of Tubas and the Far’a camp and others, of killing, destruction and arrest, defying all international legitimacy and international law decisions, especially the recommendations of the International Court of Justice, noting that the State of Palestine will seek, with the Arab and international parties, to refer the recommendations of the International Court to the United Nations General Assembly, to issue a UN resolution that forces t
he occupation to implement them.

The Fatah Central Committee saluted our heroic prisoners in the occupation prisons who are suffering oppression, torture and threats to their lives by the Israeli occupation authorities, which have violated all international conventions related to prisoners and their treatment, calling on international human rights organizations to practice their work and carry out their duties according to international law towards Palestinian prisoners, and not to be satisfied with the policy of silence that has encouraged the occupation to continue committing crimes against our heroic, steadfast prisoners.

The Central Committee condemned the international silence on the massacres that our people are being subjected to in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, which have claimed the lives of more than 40,000 martyrs and more than 100,000 wounded, asking: When will this international community break its silence on these Israeli massacres and force the occupying state to
submit to international legitimacy and international law? It condemned the deliberate killing of the American solidarity activist of Turkish origin, Aisha Noor-Eje, by the Israeli occupation forces, as well as the cold-blooded killing of the child Bana Amjad Bakr (13 years old) by the Israeli occupation forces, which provide protection for its settlers to commit crimes against our defenseless people, as a result of the immoral American support that provides money, weapons, and political support, and escaping the punishment of international legitimacy and international law.

The Fatah Central Committee praised the virtues of the great national leader and founder, the late Farouk Kaddoumi ‘Abu Al-Lutf’, who enriched the Palestinian revolution and spent his life serving his people and homeland and embodying the independence of his state with East Jerusalem as its capital, praising his role in the founding phase of the Fatah movement and its long struggle.

The Fatah Central Committee also appreciated the efforts
of international solidarity activists, and commended their effective role alongside our people in confronting the occupation and its colonizers, and the importance of conveying the Palestinian narrative to the entire world.

The Central Committee discussed a number of internal issues related to the Fatah movement, and reviewed a number of reports related to the movement.
