Saudi Ambassador to Tunisia Meets with Italian Ambassador


Tunis, Saudi Ambassador to Tunisia, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Ali Al-Saqr, met with Italian Ambassador to Tunisia Alessandro Prunas today at the embassy headquarters.

The two sides discussed relations between the two countries and means to boost them, and went over issues of mutual interest.

Police Academy Delegation Visits US

A delegation from the Police Academy of the United States visited to learn about the tasks and curriculum used at the New York Police Academy and the United States Military Academy at West Point, along with its associated training entities.

The Ministry of Interior said today that Major-General Dr. Abdullah Yousuf Al Mal, who is the Legal Advisor to the Minister of Interior and General Supervisor of the Police Academy, led the delegation.

The visit aimed to strengthen mutual cooperation, exchange expertise in the academic and training fields, and share expertise with relevant training and educational entities.

It was confirmed that Major-General Dr. Abdullah Yousuf Al Mal met with the Chief of the New York Police Department after visiting the Department and its affiliated operational centers.

Russian Defense Downs 12 Ukrainian Drones Over 5 Regions

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced Thursday that 12 Ukrainian drones were shot down over five Russian regions.

A statement issued by the ministry said that Russian air defense systems destroyed five drones over the Bryansk region, one over the Kursk region, one over the Belgorod region, two over the Rostov region, and three over the Krasnodar region.

In recent months, Ukraine has intensified the frequency of attacks using drones on Russian regions.

There have been conflicting reports between Russia and Ukraine about the extent of losses suffered by both sides of the crisis. Each party claims to have inflicted severe losses on the other, without being able to independently verify the accuracy of this information due to the ongoing fighting.

Royal Endurance Team to participate in Royal Windsor Endurance

London, The Royal Endurance Team, represented by Victorious, Al Zaeem, and Al Ru’ood teams, is participating in the Royal Windsor Endurance horse show in the United Kingdom. The event, featuring riders from around the world, will commence tomorrow at Windsor Castle.

Dr. Khalid Ahmed Hassan, Royal Endurance Team Director, emphasised the team’s goals of achieving outstanding results, especially with experienced elements participating in European races. He stated, “We have included young riders to gain experience in European races. We are optimistic that the team will consistently achieve accomplishments abroad.”

This participation comes as part of preparations for the World Endurance Championship for seniors, scheduled for September in Monbazillac, France, according to the plan prepared by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Royal Endurance Team Captain.

The Royal Endurance Team’s riders underwent veterinary checks smoothly at the Windsor Castle Village, with well organised proceedings by the ev
ent’s organising committee.

Additionally, three Bahraini judges will participate in the festival’s organising committee.

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister issues Edict (27) of 2024


Manama, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today issued Edict (27) of 2024, amending Article I of Edict (9) of 2023 on restructuring the National Committee for Childhood, based on the proposal of the Minister of Social Development, and following the approval of the Cabinet.

Article I

A new clause, numbered (13), will be added to Article I of Edict (9) of 2023, on restructuring the National Commission for Childhood, and the remainder of the article’s clauses will be rearranged accordingly, as follows: 13- Head of the Unit of Child Protection in Cyberspace, representing the Ministry of Interior.

Article II The ministers, each in their capacity, shall implement the provisions of this edict which takes effect upon its issuance and will be published in the Official Gazette.

The Ministry of Agriculture signs a memorandum of understanding with the Arab Center for Studies of Arid Zones (ACSAD)


Riyadh – Together – On the sidelines of the meetings of the Executive Council and the General Assembly of the Arab Center for Studies of Dry Zones and Dry Lands (ACSAD), His Excellency the Minister of Agriculture, Professor Rizq Salimiya, signed in the Saudi capital – Riyadh, a strategic memorandum of understandings with the Director General of the Arab Center for Studies of Dry Zones and Dry Lands, Dr. Nasr. Al-Obaidi, in the presence of His Excellency the Ambassador of the State of Palestine in Riyadh, A. Basem Al-Agha and Dr. Raed Al-Jubouri, representative of the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States.



Minister Salimiyeh indicated that this memorandum aims to govern, professionalize and enhance relations and prospects for research, technical and technical cooperation between the two parties in areas of common interest and aimed at achieving the maximum benefit from scientific progress and biotechnology, applying sound management of natural resources, preserving the environment, and developing technical capabilities for It is of mutual benefit, in addition to benefiting from the expertise and capabilities available to both parties, and employing them to serve the agricultural sector and achieve sustainable agricultural development towards sustainable food security.



This cooperation will include in the early stages the development of improved varieties with high production efficiency and tolerance to drought conditions, supporting the institutional environment for wheat production and improving the general environment of the value chain of this strategic crop.



The two parties also agreed to carry out some joint research on developing innovative and climate-smart agricultural practices to improve the ability of adaptive agricultural systems and maintain production stability in light of climate change, in addition to preserving genetic resources with high tolerance to drought, environmental stresses and salinity, and exchanging genetic material available in Both parties.



For his part, Dr. Nasr Al-Obaidi welcomed this desired cooperation, stressing the readiness of the Center with all its staff, expertise and capabilities to provide all aid and assistance to the State of Palestine.

Ahmed Abu Al-Foul was killed by security forces in Tulkarm

Tulkarm – Ma’an – A citizen was killed on Wednesday evening by security forces’ bullets in Tulkarm.

The General Political Commissioner, the official spokesman for the security establishment, Major General Talal Dweikat, said that in the course of the usual work entrusted to the Palestinian security services to protect the security of citizens, and while there was a security forces patrol at the Peace Roundabout in the city of Tulkarm, a person targeted the patrol members by shooting them directly.

He added, and within the framework of the continuous instructions to the security forces to ward off dangers and gradually use force in proportion to the extent of the danger to which the security forces are exposed, the individuals responded to the source of the shooting, which led to the injury of their shooter, and he was transferred to Rafidiya Hospital for treatment.

In turn, the Nour Shams Camp Battalion and the Tulkarm Camp Battalion said in a press statement, ‘The security services targeted a car in which the Mujahid Ahmed Abu al-Foul was traveling and shot him directly. His martyrdom was later announced after attempts to revive him.’

KFSHandRC Ranks Top Valuable Healthcare Brand in Saudi Arabia and Middle East


Riyadh, The King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre (KFSHandRC) topped the healthcare sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Middle East, recognizing it as the most valuable healthcare brand in the region for the second year, according to a press release from KFSHandRC.

According to the 2024 Brand Finance reports, KFSHandRC ranked 9th in Saudi Arabia and 28th in the Middle East. It stood out as the only hospital worldwide to be ranked among its country’s top ten most valuable brands.

The Brand Finance Report, the release said, showed that KFSHandRC brand value increased by 31%, exceeding SAR5.6 billion, equivalent to $1.5 billion. This increase is the result of the hospital’s commitment to incorporating the latest medical technologies and treatments and providing specialized medical care that adheres to the latest international standards.

KFSHandRC Chief Corporate Communications and Marketing Officer Muhannad Kadi commented, “This accomplishment underscores the hospital’s dedication to a
chieving the highest quality standards and providing outstanding healthcare, as well as the significant value it delivers to its beneficiaries.”

He emphasized that the hospital’s position among the top ten most valuable brands in Saudi Arabia “not only highlights its effectiveness but also the positive impact of the ongoing transformations within the Kingdom’s healthcare sector.”

According to the release, KFSHandRC has achieved several notable milestones over the past year that have significantly contributed to its brand strength and reputation.
