Sudan, Egypt discuss cooperation in geology


Cairo, Ahmed Haroun Al Tom, the Director General of the Public Corporation for Geological Research and Geologist Advisor, held a joint discussion session with Dr. Zeinhom, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Nasr Mining Company, in the presence of its Chief Executive Officer (CEO), aiming to deliberate on ways of cooperation between Sudan and Egypt in the field of research work, exchange of experiences, evaluation, production and marketing of industrial minerals.

According to Sudan News Agency (SUNA), Dr. Zeinhom expressed their desire to import industrial minerals from Sudan, which are (talc, kaolin, quartz, and manganese).

Al Tom affirmed their readiness to carry out the study, evaluation and production of industrial raw materials, and to sign an agreement on joint marketing with Al Nasr Company in accordance with the agreed upon standards and specifications.

Al Tom explained that the step came within the framework of the policy of the Ministry of Minerals aiming at production expansion and dive
rsification, besides the creation of added value and creation of marketing outlets that enable providing of foreign currencies, the introduction of technologies and equipment that help raise the efficiency of the national staff.

HM King issues Decree (25) of 2024


Manama, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa issued Decree (25) of 2024, appointing an undersecretary and two assistant undersecretaries at the Ministry of Information, based on a proposal by the Minister of Information and following the approval of the Cabinet.

Article I

Yousif Mohammed Al Binkhalil shall be appointed as the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Information.

Article II

The following shall be appointed at the Ministry of Information:

1- Younis Salman Hasan Al Ghais as Assistant Undersecretary for Radio and Television Affairs.

2- Abdulrahman Khalid Ahmed Al Midfaa as Assistant Undersecretary for News and Regulatory Affairs.

Article III

The Minister of Information shall implement the provisions of this decree, which comes into effect upon its issuance and will be published in the Official Gazette.

The Al-Shami businessman announces financial support for Gaza and opens the Al-Shami Girls School and the Fares Al-Shami Center for People with Disabilities


Ramallah – Together – The Palestinian businessman, owner and founder of the largest beauty empire in the world, Farouk System International (CHI) Group, announced that Dr. Farouk Al-Shami announced a group of financial donations amounting to tens of millions of dollars for the benefit of the Gaza Strip, which will be implemented in the near future, following the cessation of the war on the Gaza Strip, to support and support the people there.

This came during a speech by the doctor at the opening of the Muhammad Al-Shami Basic School for Girls, and the Fares Al-Shami Association for Early Intervention for Children with Disabilities in his hometown of Beit Ur Al-Tahta, west of Ramallah, in the presence of the Governor of Ramallah and Al-Bireh, Dr. Laila Ghanem, and Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, Dr. Nafie Assaf, the spokesman for the Ministry of Education, Sadiq Al-Khadour, and the Director General of Education, Dr. Nasr Abu Karsh, Palestinian businessman Tariq al-Natsheh, and the mayor of Beit U
r al-Tahta, Dr. Hussein Alyan and representatives of official institutions and bodies and the local community.

Dr. stressed. Al-Shami said that he has plans for a group of huge financial donations targeting the Gaza Strip, as part of his efforts to build, develop and develop, and aim to support the people in the Gaza Strip.

As confirmed by Dr. Al-Shami said that he will open a series of companies in the Gaza Strip, to employ the people of the Strip, and to circulate money within the Gaza Strip, to stabilize citizens in their homeland, and prevent their immigration or displacement from the Strip.

Dr. said. Al-Shami said that the school, the establishment of which was announced in honor of his father’s spirit, includes 12 classrooms, other specialized rooms, resources, a courtyard, a hall, a garden, and health units, because his late father believed in the importance of education in building the Palestinian person capable of liberating his country.

Dr. noted. Al-Shami pointed out that the Fares Al-Shami Cen
ter for People with Disabilities and Autism aims to help, treat, and provide education, training, and rehabilitation for people with disabilities in the villages west of Ramallah, due to the importance of the role that this important group must play in Palestinian society, and to integrate them into society. The center includes classrooms, training rooms, and treatment rooms. Functional and psychological, and a swimming pool designated for people with mobility disabilities.

Dr. called. Al-Shami called on Palestinian businessmen in the homeland and the diaspora to provide financial support to Palestine, and to allocate a portion of their profits to support their people, stressing that he makes many donations to Palestine, in the context of his national responsibility towards his people and his country.

so that this achievement is added to the achievements of businessman Dr. Al-Shami.

Dr. added: Ghannam: ‘We are facing two wonderful projects for future groups, and Al-Shami’s contribution to supporting education confirms to the world that the blood of the Palestinian people that is flowing in Gaza and the West Bank is neither dearer nor more precious than money, and that the opening of the school is a continuation of the national march in Gaza and the West Bank, leading to the rebuilding and opening of schools.’ And the universities of Gaza despite the brutality of this occupation.’

Dr. confirmed. Ghannam: With the determination and determination of our people, the private sector, and all our institutions, we will soon rebuild our schools, universities, national institutions, and homes that the occupation turned into rubble in the Gaza Strip.

ecessary to integrate people with disabilities into Palestinian society. She said: We thank the Al-Shami businessman who insisted on remaining a part of his investments in the homeland for this donation, and for his investment in building our schools and educational institutions that Factories are considered to belong to generations that love their homeland and land.

It is noteworthy that Dr. Al-Shami, who lives in the United States of America, has allocated an amount of one hundred thousand dollars annually and for life to support education in Palestine, in memory of their deceased Dr. Jamil Al-Shami, his older brother.

Settlers attack citizens’ vehicles south of Nablus

Nablus – Ma’an – Today, Tuesday, settlers attacked citizens’ vehicles on “Yitzhar” Street, south of Nablus.

Local sources reported that a number of settlers engaged in orgies and attacked vehicles on the road near the “Yitzhar” settlement.

The sources spoke of a heavy presence of occupation soldiers on the same street, which has become almost closed to vehicles bearing Palestinian registration plates.

Hail Covers Mountains, Farms, Roads in Al-Baha Region


Al-Baha, This morning, Al-Aqiq governorate in Al-Baha region experienced heavy hailstorm and rain, which saw mountains, farms and roads were covered in a white blanket.

Families would stop their vehicles on the side of the road to watch the abundant water flowing between the region’s towering mountains, the sound of the roaring water an enchanting melody of nature.

The Saudi Press Agency captured beautiful scenes after the rain in several governorates of the region.

The abundant rain flooded agricultural terraces with vast amounts water. A green carpet spread as far as the eye could see, its beauty enhanced by the hail that covered the area in a white robe.

Waterfalls from the high peaks and land added to the highly picturesque scenery.

Palestinian Youth Succumbs to Injuries from Israeli Gunfire Near Jenin

Ramallah: A Palestinian youth has Tuesday succumbed to wounds he sustained from Israeli occupation gunfire during a raid in the town of Qabatiya, south of Jenin.

Palestinian WAFA news agency said that the youth, from the town of Qabatiya, has died as a result of injuries he sustained during the Israeli occupation forces’ storming of the town.

Meanwhile, Israeli occupation forces detained 14 Palestinians on Tuesday and wounded others in multiple raids across the occupied West Bank.

Local and security sources said that the occupation forces rounded up 11 Palestinians from Husan town and ransacked the houses of their families, turning them upside down. The occupation forces also detained three Plaestinians from the Bethlehem city neighborhood of Jabal al-Mawalih.

Saudi Arabia Condemns Targeting of Relief Convoy in Gaza

Riyadh: The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed today its strong condemnation and denunciation of the targeting by the Israeli occupation of the convoy of the World Central Kitchen organization in the Gaza Strip, affirming that it comes as a deliberate continuation of the occupation’s crimes and violations of international humanitarian law.

In a statement, the ministry reiterated its country’s unequivocal rejection of targeting missions and humanitarian organizations and their workers, calling on the international community to play its role in stopping these violations and protecting innocent civilians and humanitarian relief workers. It also urged for the urgent delivery of more humanitarian aid to prevent the exacerbation of the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip.

The aerial bombardment by the Israeli occupation army targeted a relief organization’s convoy in the Gaza Strip, resulting in the deaths of seven individuals, prompting angry international reactions.

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister hosts Ramadan Majlis leaders at an iftar banquet

Manama, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today hosted Ramadan Majlis leaders at an iftar banquet, at Riffa Palace.

His Royal Highness highlighted the importance of Team Bahrain’s unified efforts to meet the Kingdom’s wide-ranging development goals, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad affirmed that Bahraini citizens are essential partners in realising the Kingdom’s development goals and aspirations and remain at the core of the Kingdom’s advancement.

His Royal Highness expressed his pride in the efforts and contributions of Bahraini citizens in their various workplaces, noting the Kingdom’s commitment to continue upskilling the national workforce. In this regard, HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad praised the positive impact Bahrainis have had on several projects and government programmes, which is appreciated by all.
