The army downs 7 terrorist drones in Idleb and Raqqa


Units of the Syrian Arab Army shot down Friday a number of drones of terrorist organizations in Idlib and Raqqa countryside.

‘Units of our armed forces operating in the direction of Idlib and Raqqa countryside, managed to shoot down and destroy 7 drones of terrorist organizations, (two of which are American-Made) tried to attack our military posts and the civilian in safe villages and towns, ‘Ministry of Defense said in a statement today.

‘My country’s heritage ‘exhibition kicks off in Aleppo province


Activities of ‘my country’s heritage’ exhibition of creativity and handmade products launched in Aleppo province with participation of 15 housewives and students.

The exhibition was organized by the Syrian historical scientific society in cooperation with the Directorate of Social Affairs and Labor, and included handmade works of mosaics and coppers, as well as handicrafts from fashion, accessories, perfumes and antiques.

Director of Social Affairs and labor in Aleppo, Ahmed Hamza, said that the aim of the exhibition is to introduce historical and heritage products in the province.

Islamic Arabesque patterns… a traditional Damascene art interlocked with wood


When you visit Damascene houses or ancient mosques and churches, you will certainly see geometric patterns of Islamic art, which over time has become an integral part of Damascene architecture, depending on local materials and Syrian creativity.

What is geometric patterns of Islamic art?

It is an art involves interlocking two types of wood; walnut and a second kind such as oak and Swedish, where the geometric shape is drawn, and pieces of wood are glued to it without painting them, as the natural wood color is unique and beautiful, with just adding some preservatives.

The origins of the craft:

It appeared in the Umayyad era, where craftsmen designed geometric shapes of a straight line, a circle, and a triangle. The Arabs were the ones who developed art, wanting to decorate the Umayyad mosques and palaces. They started their designs by placing a single point that would be a diameter in a circle.

Syria, Mauritania discuss boosting bilateral parliamentary ties


Speaker of the People’s Assembly, Hammouda Sabbagh, stressed the depth of Syrian-Mauritanian relations and the importance of strengthening them in various fields, especially at the parliamentary level in the two States.

Meeting today with the newly-appointed Sidi Ould Doumane, the Ambassador of Mauritania in Damascus, on the occasion of assuming his duties, Sabbagh called for achieving significant progress in parliamentary relations in terms of exchanging experiences, intensifying visits, and cooperating in all joint regional and international forums in a way that benefits both sides.

The Mauritanian ambassador hailed Syria’s positions and steadfastness, along with its historical and pivotal role in supporting just Arab causes, most notably the rights of the Palestinian people, attaching great importance to developing bilateral cooperation in various fields.

Syria condemns the occupation’s crime in Gaza, calls on international community to stop massacres in the Strip


Syria strongly condemned the brutal crime committed by the Israeli occupation today against Palestinians who were waiting to receive food aid west of Gaza City, noting that most countries and peoples of the world protested against the continuation of genocide in Gaza as the International Court of Justice issued obligatory orders to stop the Israeli massacres, but the US-backed occupation entity confirms that it will not comply with international legitimacy, international law or international humanitarian law.

Cutting ties with Israeli occupation is the most effective way to stop its crimes_ President Raisi


Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi stressed that severing political and economic relations by Islamic countries with the Zionist entity is the most effective way to stop its crimes.

‘The Zionist entity and its supporters continue to commit their crimes in Gaza amid international silence and timid positions,’ IRNA quoted Raisi as saying during a government meeting. The president considered that the most effective way to stop this entity’s killing and criminal machine is to cut off economic and political relations with it by Islamic States.

Raisi voiced his regret at the behavior of some international actors in limiting themselves to rhetoric and taking political positions instead of taking action to stop the ongoing Israeli aggression against Gaza.

Syria, UAE discuss opening new horizons in several vital sectors


Prime Minister Hussein Arnous met today with the UAE Ambassador Hassan Ahmed al-Shehhi.

The two sides stressed the depth of the distinguished historical relations binding the two brotherly countries and peoples and the necessity of building on them to enhance cooperation and open new horizons for it in a number of vital sectors, especially in light of the state of instability witnessed in the region and the world and the difficulties facing the global economy.

Arnous reviewed Syrian government’s efforts to revitalize the economic sector, especially the priority sectors that affect the standard of living of citizens.

He also touched upon the economic, industrial and agricultural components that Syria possesses, broad investment opportunities and a skilled workforce, considering that there are many common points from which the two sides can start to activate joint work, including management, governance and the transfer of expertise on both sides in several sectors.

Ambassador al-Shehhi voiced his aspiration
to enhance bilateral cooperation and develop historical relations for the benefit of the two brotherly countries, pointing to the possibilities of cooperation in the fields of environment, climate, water and other fields that serve the common interest of the two states.

‘Israel’ kills 100 Palestinians waiting for aid in Al-Rashid Street in Gaza


At least 100 Palestinians were martyred and hundred others were injured in a massacre committed by Israeli occupation forces in al-Rashid Street against civilians waiting for aid in Nabulsi roundabout west of Gaza.

‘Thousands of Palestinians gathered in Al-Rashid Street waiting for trucks that carrying aid, where they were targeted by shells and bullets by occupation tanks, causing at least 100 martyrs and about a thousand injuries’, Palestinian media reported.

Survivors of the massacre confirmed that the occupation tanks directly targeted them with shells and bullets as they approached the trucks carrying aid, while others were subjected to sniping while carrying bags of flour mixed with their blood.

The number of victims of Israel’s ongoing aggression for the 146 day on stricken Gaza exceeded 30 thousand martyrs after today’s Nablus roundabout massacre.

Dozens martyrs in ongoing Israeli aggression for 146th day on Gaza Strip


Dozens of Palestinians were martyred Thursday as the Israeli occupation forces bombed Gaza City and the Nuseirat and Bureij camps in the center of the war-ravaged Gaza Strip for the 146th day of the ongoing aggression.

Palestinian media reported that the occupation forces bombed the Nuseirat and Bureij camps with air and artillery, causing the martyrdom of 25 people, the majority of whom were children and women, and the injury of others, in addition to the presence of dozens of people missing under the rubble.

The occupation forces also bombed Palestinians waiting for aid trucks near the Nabulsi Junction, west of Gaza City, resulting in dozens of martyrs and wounded.

Meanwhile, the occupation artillery intensified its bombardment of the city of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip, where 5 Palestinians were martyred, in addition to the death of others who were unable to be reached by ambulance crews due to the intensity of the bombing by the occupation forces.

Health Ministry receives medical aid from UAE Red Crescent


A plane loaded with medicines, provided by the Emirates Red Crescent Authority arrived Wednesday in Lattakia International Airport, according to SANA reporter.

The cargo was delivered at the airport to the Ministry of Health in the presence of the Minister, Hassan al-Ghabbash, the Governor of Lattakia, Amer Hilal, the Emirati ambassador to Damascus, Hassan Ahmed al-Shehhi, in addition to the head of ERC delegation, Director of the Volunteer Department, Khalfan Sarhan Al Rumaithi.

The UAE aid arrived at the port of Lattakia via a ship containing about 196 tons of medicines and medical equipment, along with 10 buses with a capacity of 36 passengers to transport medical staff working in hospitals.
