China and Belarus Commit to Strengthening Strategic Partnership

Doha: Chinese President Xi Jinping and Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko have committed to strengthening their countries' strategic partnership during talks in Beijing. The leaders vowed to expand their cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative and enhance coordination on regional and international issues.

According to Qatar News Agency, Xi emphasized the importance of maintaining close strategic communication to ensure the steady growth of bilateral ties. He noted the tangible progress made by China and Belarus on key cooperation projects and their productive coordination in multilateral forums. Xi called for increased efforts to pool resources across various sectors to advance Belt and Road cooperation, deepen practical collaboration, and strengthen coordination within multilateral mechanisms.

Lukashenko expressed Belarus's commitment to its relationship with China, highlighting the importance of enhancing strategic communication, broadening mutually beneficial cooperation, and promoting the continued development of bilateral ties. He stated that Belarus will maintain close coordination with China on regional and international affairs and work collaboratively to promote peace, development, and stability at both regional and global levels.
