Beijing: Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met Friday with his Georgian counterpart, Makka Bochoreshvili, who is currently visiting Beijing, to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.
According to Qatar News Agency, Wang expressed China’s readiness to work with Georgia to implement the Global Governance Initiative and to further protect the legitimate rights and interests of developing countries.
For her part, Bochoreshvili said that Georgia intends to continue its active participation in the joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative. She emphasized that Georgia looks forward to expediting the implementation of the upgraded version of the bilateral free trade agreement with China and to introducing more Georgian products to the Chinese market.
