Shanghai:China's research icebreakers Xuelong and Xuelong 2, also known as Snow Dragon and Snow Dragon 2, have returned to Shanghai in east China after nearly three months of participating in the country's 16th Arctic Ocean expedition.
According to Qatar News Agency, the expedition successfully completed numerous key tasks, including comprehensive investigation and monitoring, cutting-edge scientific research, and fostering international cooperation.
The expedition team noted that both the scale of the expedition and the total number of tasks reached new highs. The mission achieved significant results in new scientific discoveries, theoretical breakthroughs, technological tests, and equipment applications. These achievements are expected to provide strong support for a deeper understanding of global climate change and promote sustainable development in the Arctic.
