The General Directorate of Civil Defense Institute received institutional accreditation from the UK Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE). UK Chief Inspector for the Crown Premises Fire Safety Inspectorate in the Home Office and former Chief Fire and Rescue Adviser Peter Holland presented here the accreditation certificate to Acting Director General of Civil Defense Major General Dr. Hammoud bin Suleiman Al-Faraj. This accreditation results from a commitment to enhancing civil defense capabilities through a collaboration between the Saudi directorate and the British side under the auspices of the Ministry of Interior. It underscores the ministry's dedication to positioning the institute as the premier choice for civil defense education and training, locally, regionally, and globally. To accomplish this, efforts will focus on improving the efficiency of human resources and the quality of training programs led by a cadre of officers, personnel, and civilians. It will also include implementing the Ministry o f Interior's international partnership programs and adopting innovative solutions to achieve the objectives of civil protection domains.
