Gaza: The death toll from the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, which began on Oct. 7, 2023, has risen to 63,746 martyrs, in addition to 161,245 wounded.
According to Qatar News Agency, in a statement on Wednesday, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza reported that 113 martyrs and 304 injured people had arrived at hospitals in the Strip over the past 24 hours. A number of victims remain buried under the rubble and on the streets, as ambulances and civil defense teams cannot reach them.
The ministry stated that the death toll and the number of injuries increased after the occupation violated the ceasefire agreement on March 18, resulting in 11,615 martyrs and 49,204 injured. It noted that 33 martyrs and 141 injured aid seekers arrived at hospitals in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of martyrs who arrived at hospitals to 2,339 and the injured to 17,070.
Meanwhile, hospitals in the Gaza Strip recorded six new deaths over the past 24 hours, including one child, due to famine. This brings the total number of people dying from famine to 367, including 131 children.
The Israeli occupation continues its war of extermination against Gaza and its people, ignoring calls from the international community to halt the violence and open the crossings to allow humanitarian aid, amid an unprecedentedly tragic humanitarian situation.
