Paris: Paris Saint-Germain announced Saturday that forwards Ousmane Dembele and Desire Doue will miss upcoming matches due to injuries sustained while on international duty.
According to Qatar News Agency, PSG confirmed that Dembele will be out for up to six weeks after suffering a right thigh injury during France's World Cup qualifying match against Ukraine. His teammate, defender Desire Doue, also picked up a knock in the same match, straining his right calf, and is expected to be sidelined for approximately four weeks.
The absence of both players comes at a critical time for PSG, which faces a demanding schedule across domestic and European competitions. The club is set to play Lens in Ligue 1 on September 14, followed by a Champions League clash against Italy's Atalanta on September 17. A high-stakes league match against Marseille awaits on September 21.
PSG will then host Auxerre on September 27 before traveling to face Barcelona in the Champions League on October 1. The team wraps up this intense stretch with an away match against Lille on October 5.
