Doha: The Women's Activity section of the Department of Da'wah and Religious Guidance at the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf) has launched the first Ramadan program, Sard and Tamkeen, for the year 1446 AH. This initiative focuses on narration and empowerment, aiming to align with the Prophet's Sunnah by teaching the Holy Qur'an at schools during Ramadan. The program is designed to aid female memorizers in reciting and preserving their memorized verses using established methods.
According to Qatar News Agency, the ministry announced that the program spans six days and includes four tracks for narrating the entire Holy Qur'an. The sessions commenced today after Taraweeh prayer. The program's venues include the Imam Muhammad bin Abdul Wahhab Mosque in Al Jubailat, the Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Al-Thani Mosque in Mureikh, the Hamza bin Abdul Muttalib Mosque in Al Wakrah, and the Nasser bin Abdullah bin Ali Al Misnad Mosque in Al Khor.
The initiative has attracted significant interest, with over 400 participants registering. Following a sorting and shortlisting process by the Women's Activity Department, 200 participants were selected to join across the four mosques.
