Department of Meteorology Warns of Poor Horizontal Visibility

Doha: The Department of Meteorology has issued a warning regarding the weather conditions expected on Monday, highlighting reduced horizontal visibility at certain places due to mist and fog, particularly in the morning. The weather inshore will transition from misty to foggy initially, becoming hot and humid during the day.

According to Qatar News Agency, offshore conditions will also begin with mist, with humidity prevailing at times. Winds across both inshore and offshore areas are anticipated to vary between northwesterly and northeasterly directions, at speeds of 03-13 KT. The sea state is predicted to be relatively calm, with inshore waves reaching 1-2 feet and offshore waves measuring between 1-3 feet.

Visibility is expected to fluctuate significantly, with inshore visibility ranging from 4-9 km, potentially dropping to 2 km or less in certain areas initially. Similarly, offshore visibility will start at 4-9 km but may decrease to 3 km or less in coastal regions at first.

Tidal information highlights high tide and low tide timings across various regions. In Doha, high tides are expected at 06:24 and 17:51, while low tides will occur at 01:16 and 13:27. Temperatures will range from a minimum of 31 to a maximum of 38 degrees Celsius in Doha and Wakrah, while Dukhan, Mesaieed, Ruwais, and Abu Samra will see slightly cooler temperatures, with minimums of 26 and maximums reaching 37 degrees. Sunrise is scheduled for 05:19 LT, with sunset at 17:39 LT.
