Doha: The Department of Meteorology has issued a warning regarding the weather conditions expected until 6:00 pm on Wednesday. The forecast predicts hot to very hot weather inshore, with conditions ranging from slight dust to blowing dust during the daytime. The department has specifically cautioned about strong winds expected in the early hours.
According to Qatar News Agency, offshore conditions are anticipated to include slight dust at times, coupled with warnings of strong winds and a high sea state. Inshore winds are projected to be northwesterly, measuring 12-23 kt and gusting up to 30 kt, before decreasing to 05-15 kt by the evening. Offshore winds will also be northwesterly, reaching 13-23 kt, with gusts occasionally hitting 32 kt.
The sea state is expected to vary, with inshore conditions ranging from 2-5 ft and offshore conditions from 3-7 ft, potentially rising to 12 ft at times. Visibility inshore is predicted to be between 4-9 km, possibly reducing to 3 km or less in certain areas, while offshore visibility will range from 4-9 km.
