Doha: The Meteorology Department has issued a warning in its daily weather report, alerting residents to strong winds and high sea conditions expected to persist offshore until 6:00 PM. Some occasional clouds are also anticipated during this period.
According to Qatar News Agency, inshore conditions are expected to feature some clouds and relatively cold weather. There will be slight dust to blowing dust during the day, with temperatures dropping from cold to very cold in certain areas by nightfall.
The wind inshore is predicted to be northwesterly, ranging from 15-25 KT and gusting to 32 KT in certain areas, decreasing to 05-25 KT by the evening. Offshore, winds will start at 20-30 KT, gusting up to 40 KT initially, before decreasing to 14-24 KT by late night.
The sea state inshore is expected to be between 3-5 FT, occasionally rising to 5 FT, while offshore conditions will range from 6-10/14 FT, decreasing to 4-8 FT in some areas by late night.
Visibility inshore is projected to be 05-9/3 km or less in certain areas during the day, while offshore visibility will remain between 5-9 km.
