Deputy Prime Minister of Qatar Engages in Strategic Talks with Singapore’s Senior Minister

Doha: HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs, Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan Al-Thani, held a meeting with HE Senior Minister in the Singaporean Prime Minister's Office and former Prime Minister, Lee Hsien Loong, at the Presidential Palace (Istana). This meeting took place during Sheikh Saoud's participation in the Shangri-La Dialogue 2026, which is currently ongoing in the Republic of Singapore.

According to Qatar News Agency, the discussions between Sheikh Saoud and Lee Hsien Loong centered around the latest security developments and regional updates. The two leaders explored possible avenues for joint cooperation and coordination to address the current circumstances affecting both nations and the broader region.

The meeting was also attended by HE Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Singapore, Abdulaziz bin Ahmed Al Malki Al Jehani. Several top-ranking officers and officials from both Qatar and Singapore were present, highlighting the significance of the discussions in strengthening bilateral ties and enhancing regional security collaborations.
