Dozens Martyred, Wounded As Israeli Occupation Forces Bomb School Sheltering Displaced Persons in Gaza

Gaza City: 19 Palestinians were martyred and more than 40 others were wounded as a result of Israeli occupation warplanes bombing a school sheltering displaced persons in the al-Tuffah neighborhood, northeast of Gaza City.

According to Qatar News Agency, local sources said that Israeli warplanes targeted the school with three missiles, noting that medical teams and civil defense personnel recovered dozens of dead and wounded, including children and women, and transferred them to the Baptist Hospital.

The bodies of some were dismembered and charred, while the evacuation process from under the rubble of the school, which was extensively destroyed by the bombing, is still ongoing.

In the city of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, one person was martyred as a result of an Israeli drone bombing a gathering of Palestinian civilians. Three others were martyred as a result of the Israeli occupation forces bombing a tent sheltering displaced persons in the city of Khan Yunis.

A number of people were wounded as a result of the bombing of a tent sheltering displaced persons north of the new camp in al-Nuseirat, in the central Gaza Strip. Medical and civil defense crews recovered 12 martyrs and more than 20 wounded after the occupation forces targeted several homes in the Shuja'iyya neighborhood, east of Gaza City.

This comes as medical sources confirmed the deaths of more than 85 Palestinian citizens as a result of the ongoing Israeli occupation raids on various areas of the Gaza Strip since dawn Thursday. The latest death toll since the renewed Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip on March 18th stood at 1,163 martyrs and 2,735 wounded.

The occupation resumed its aggression on the Strip after a two-month hiatus under a ceasefire agreement that went into effect on January 19th. However, it has violated its terms over the past two months and continued its bombing of various areas of the Strip, causing dozens of deaths and injuries.

It has also refused to implement the humanitarian protocol and tightened its stifling blockade on the Strip, which is experiencing an unprecedented humanitarian tragedy.
