The Public Relations and Media Department of the Police stated that, after receiving information from the Anti-Narcotics Branch of the Governorate Police, indicating that a public driver, who has a history of drug cases, transports and delivers narcotic substances to drug users by ordering them over the phone or the Internet, and delivers them to specific places, taking advantage of his work as a public driver and his ease of movement. in the vehicle in exchange for sums of money paid by users when they receive their drug meals.
She added that, after obtaining a search warrant from the Public Prosecution, a force from the Narcotics Control Branch, with the support of the special police and the female element, moved to the suspect’s house and were able to arrest him. By se
arching the house, a quantity of narcotic cannabis was seized, and upon hearing his statements, he stated that it was true. Information, and that the seized substance was one of the meals that was supposed to be delivered to one of the users in exchange for a sum of money.
It confirmed that the person was arrested, the vehicle used was seized, and the seized items were being investigated until the legal procedures against him were duly completed.
