Egypt and US Engage in Strategic Dialogue on African Issues

Cairo: Egypt and the US held a round of strategic dialogue on African issues in Cairo.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the consultations covered several key issues, including developments in Sudan, Libya, the Great Lakes region, the African Sahel, and the Horn of Africa, alongside the issue of water security.

Both nations highlighted their strategic partnership and the depth of their relations, emphasizing that this partnership is a crucial pillar for security and stability in the Middle East and Africa. They expressed their willingness to continue enhancing cooperation across political, economic, and security fields and to coordinate on regional issues of mutual interest. The dialogue was seen as an important institutional framework for exchanging views, strengthening coordination, and advancing bilateral cooperation across all fields.
