Cairo: Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty and his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan emphasized the importance of continuing efforts to implement US President Donald Trump's peace plan for the Gaza Strip. They urged Israel to fulfill the commitments of the first phase and the roadmap, paving the way for implementing the second phase, consolidating the ceasefire, and advancing toward peace and stability.
According to Qatar News Agency, during a phone call on Thursday, the two ministers expressed that Israel should respond positively to efforts aimed at implementing the US President's plan. This would contribute to creating the conditions necessary for carrying out the agreed arrangements.
They also cautioned against Israel proceeding with the E1 settlement project in the occupied West Bank, highlighting that it poses a significant threat to the territorial unity of the Palestinian territories.
