Cairo: Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty and Senior Adviser to the US President on Arab and African Affairs Massad Boulos spoke on the phone Saturday to discuss developments in the Sudan crisis and the evolving situation in Libya, as well as ways to strengthen security and stability in both countries.
According to Qatar News Agency, Egypt's Foreign Ministry stated that both sides addressed ongoing actions and contacts aimed at halting the escalation in Sudan and addressing the persistent deterioration in the humanitarian situation.
Abdelatty highlighted the significance of building on current efforts to cease the conflict and ensure the unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid to those in need. The conversation also focused on the situation in Libya, emphasizing the need to create conducive conditions for progress in the political process.
