EU Equities Steady Ahead of Ukraine Talks

Doha: European equities opened largely unchanged on Monday, as investors awaited a key meeting between European leaders and US President Donald Trump to discuss the Ukraine crisis. The pan-European STOXX 600 index held steady after recording its second consecutive weekly gain last Friday.

According to Qatar News Agency, Novo Nordisk shares rose 4.1%, extending the pharmaceutical giant's recent upward momentum, while Vestas surged 9.7%, ranking among the index's top performers after receiving a safe-haven rating. In contrast, Commerzbank slipped 3.7% after Deutsche Bank downgraded the stock, weighing on the banking sector.
