Doha: European stock markets opened lower on Friday: as investors shied away from risk and Apple shares declined, weighing on the technology sector. Among the major European markets, France's CAC 40 index in Paris fell 0.24 percent, while Germany's DAX index in Frankfurt dropped 0.70 percent.
According to Qatar News Agency, the FTSE 100 index in London declined 0.38 percent, and Italy's FTSE MIB index in Milan fell 0.78 percent.
