Fanar Tailors Program to Introduce New Muslim Converts to Fasting Virtues

Doha: The Sheikh Abdullah bin Zaid Al Mahmoud Islamic Cultural Center (Fanar) has tailored an education program to introduce new Muslim converts to the virtues of fasting.

According to Qatar News Agency, the move is part of the Awqaf-affiliated center’s efforts to meet the cultural and cognitive needs of new converts, strengthen their connection to Islam, and boost their worship during the holy month of Ramadan.

The program includes a series of lectures in English, Hindi, and Filipino, presented in the main Fanar premises in Doha and its branches in the Workers City and Al Khor.

It falls into several levels: the foundational level that focuses on the basics of Islam and advanced levels that delve deeper into the provisions of Islamic law.
