Doha: AC Milan officially announced today that the club extended the contract of legendary Croatian midfielder Luka Modric by one more season, keeping him at the club until June 30, 2027. According to Qatar News Agency, Modric joined Milan on a free transfer last summer on a one-year contract before agreeing to the latest extension. The Croatian midfielder quickly established himself at Milan, making 37 appearances in all competitions, including 34 Serie A matches. The former Real Madrid star missed only four of the Rossoneri's league fixtures. He scored two goals and provided three assists during his time with Milan. He also retired from international football in the summer, after Croatia lost to Portugal 1-2 in the World Cup round of 32.
