Doha: HE Minister Delegate for Francophony, International Partnerships and French Nationals Abroad, Eleonore Caroit, highlighted the necessity of reaching those most in need for social protection systems to be effective. Speaking at the "Innovative Social Protection Systems" panel during the Doha Solutions Forum for Social Development, part of the Second World Summit for Social Development in Qatar, Caroit emphasized the global challenge in ensuring the effectiveness of such systems.
According to Qatar News Agency, Caroit underlined the inclusiveness of France's social protection systems, focusing on efforts to support the most vulnerable and disadvantaged groups. She highlighted the need for equal application of rights, emphasizing that the goal is not only to identify the poorest but to expand access to comprehensive, sustainable, and resilient social protection systems.
Caroit also discussed the importance of using various tools to achieve these objectives, stressing that these should be grounded in a vision of social protection that enhances trust in institutions. She urged that these tools should not be isolated technical measures but should reflect the broader convictions of what social protection should represent in a state committed to safeguarding and protecting its citizens.
