Doha: European stocks declined on Tuesday, weighed down by sharp losses in French equities. France’s CAC 40 index fell by 1.4 percent, with major banks BNP Paribas and Societe Generale dropping 6.2 percent and 5.2 percent, respectively.
According to Qatar News Agency, the broader STOXX 600 index slipped 0.7 percent, as all major exchanges across the region closed in the red.
