Gaza: The Gaza Ministry of Health said in a statement Monday that it had buried 14 Palestinian bodies, previously held by Israeli occupation forces, which were delivered mutilated and impossible to identify.
According to Qatar News Agency, efforts are underway to identify the remaining bodies held in Israeli custody. The ministry called for the establishment of independent international investigation committees to uncover the crimes perpetrated by the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian bodies handed over in recent weeks.
The ministry confirmed that the scenes observed by the medical teams represent a violation of human dignity and desecration of the dead. It has received 315 bodies since the declaration of the ceasefire, handed over by the International Committee of the Red Cross, of which only 89 have been identified. Due to limited medical capacity and the inability to preserve the bodies for extended periods, 182 bodies have been buried in unknown mass graves.
