Riyadh: The Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, engaged in discussions on regional updates with a delegation from the European Parliament during its recent visit. Albudaiwi highlighted the GCC states' commitment to strengthening ties with regional and international partners to promote development, prosperity, security, and stability.
According to Qatar News Agency, the European Parliament delegation's visit to the GCC General Secretariat served to fortify Gulf-European relations and pave the way for broader cooperation. Members of the delegation expressed their support for the GCC states in response to recent Iranian attacks.
The meeting further addressed the existing partnership and cooperation between the GCC and the European Parliament, focusing on mutual interests and the well-being of their peoples. This collaboration aims to enhance Gulf-European ties and contribute to greater regional stability.
