Tashkent: The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary General, Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, met today with the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan, Sirojiddin Muhriddin, in the Uzbekistan capital Tashkent on the sidelines of the second ministerial meeting of the Strategic Dialogue between GCC countries and Central Asian states, scheduled for tomorrow.
They discussed various topics, emphasizing the importance of enhancing partnership prospects between the GCC and Tajikistan for mutual benefit. Updates on the memorandum of understanding signed between the GCC and Tajikistan in 2022 were also reviewed, alongside discussions on regional and international issues.
At the meeting’s conclusion, the Tajikistani foreign minister officially invited the GCC secretary-general to visit Tajikistan in the near future to further discuss and bolster GCC-Tajik relations.
