General Entertainment Authority (GEA) Chairman Turki bin Abdulmohsen Al Al-Shikh, announced today that the capacity for the "Riyadh Season Card Wembley Edition" boxing matches has been increased to accommodate 96,000 spectators. The main event will feature an IBF heavyweight title defense by Daniel Dubois against two-time former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua. The fight is scheduled for Saturday, September 21. General admission tickets for the first Riyadh Season 2024 boxing fight in London were previously sold out. However, following approval to increase the number of tickets for the iconic stadium, additional tickets will be available for sale tomorrow at 12 noon UK time via Ticketmaster.com. The main Riyadh Season card in London will feature an all-British six-fight card. The event is expected to be the largest boxing event in Wembley Stadium's history, setting a new record for the United Kingdom and Europe. Attendance is set to surpass the previous record of 94,000 spectators, which was achieved during Tyson Fury's fight against Dillian Whyte at the same stadium in April 2022. In addition to the Anthony Joshua vs. Daniel Dubois fight for the IBF heavyweight title, the card will also include a matchup between Anthony Cacace and Josh Warrington for the IBF super-featherweight title, as well as a fight between Joshua Buatsi and Willie Hutchinson for the WBO interim light heavyweight title. Other fights on the card will include contests between Tyler Denny and Hamza Sheeraz at welterweight, Liam Smith and Josh Kelly at super welterweight, and Mark Chamberlain and Josh Padley at lightweight.
