Berlin:German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized the necessity for Russia to agree to a ceasefire concerning energy infrastructure during a phone conversation.
According to Qatar News Agency, the discussion included Zelenskyy's remarks on the ongoing intensive Russian air assaults targeting civilian sites and energy infrastructure within Ukraine. Chancellor Merz reiterated Germany's solidarity with Ukraine in light of these attacks.
Previously, US President Donald Trump had stated that both Ukraine and Russia would halt attacks on each other's energy sectors.
