Gold Holds Steady Ahead of Inflation Data, US Interest Rate Path

Gold: Gold prices were little changed during early Asian hours on Thursday as market participants hunkered down for key inflation readings that could influence the US central bank's interest rate path. Spot gold held nearly steady at $4,396.69 per ounce, while gold futures for December delivery were down 0.4% at $4,440.80.

According to Qatar News Agency, US Producer Price Index (PPI) data is due this afternoon, and consumer inflation figures are due on Friday. These readings are crucial as they provide insights into inflationary pressures and could significantly impact the Federal Reserve's decisions regarding interest rates.

Among other metals, spot silver remained flat at $67.30 per ounce, while platinum saw a slight increase of 0.1% to $1,897.57. Palladium also experienced a modest gain, rising 0.2% to $1,355.44, reflecting minor fluctuations in the metals market amid anticipation of upcoming economic indicators.
