Doha:Spot gold prices fell by 0.2% to $4,170.63 per ounce, marking a cumulative loss of over 6% this month. This decline is attributed to the anticipation of higher interest rates affecting investor sentiment. Meanwhile, US gold futures saw an increase of 0.5%, reaching $4,201.90.
Spot silver also experienced a decline of 0.8%, dropping to $60.98. Platinum remained steady at $1,705.10, while palladium decreased by 0.3% to $1,219.60. All three metals are set to end the month with losses.
